Average property valuations in Portugal touch €1,200 in April

 

The Portuguese government office for national statistics INE (The Instituto Nacional de Estatística) today released data related to house prices. According to the study, the average value of bank valuations of homes in Portugal stood at 1,200 euros in April 2021 as compared to the previous month.

The report indicates that the bank valuations increased to a record number 28,000 which equates to 29.6% more than in the same period of the previous year.

The study further suggests that the North has the highest YOY growth of 9.1% and a decrease of -0.6% was only noted more in the agriculture dominated region of Alentejo.

Going by the report, the average prices for two-bedroom apartments rose by €20 to €1,336 euros per square meter, with three-bedroom flats rising €8 to 1,178 per square meter.
