Property prices in Portugal jump by over 17% in Q1

In the first quarter of 2021, the average sale price of residential property grew by 17.4% in Portugal, compared to the same period last year, the Portuguese News Agency LUSA reported.

The increase was also marked by a substantial rise in the number of listed properties, which were up 88 percent on 12 months ago. The Portuguese capital Lisbon continues to lead this upward trend with the highest average sale price, 353 thousand euros.

According to the report, the districts of Lisbon, Cascais and Oeiras witnessed an upsurge, both in terms of average sale prices and in terms of average rental prices.
